Construction leaders completed the first phase of construction on Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center in San Antonio, according to a KSAT report.
The 681,000-square-foot facility at Lackland Air Force Base will have four wings and more than 40 outpatient clinics and services when completed. Construction is happening adjacent to the current building, which will be demolished once the new building is complete.

The project is expected to be completed by 2015, and will be the largest military outpatient surgery center in the country.
