The California Health Information Partnership and Services Organization has announced significant progress in its first two years, including over 7,700 providers in various stages of EHR implementation and over $65 million in federal funding.

Of the 7,700 providers who began EHR implementation, 2,800 providers have key use capabilities, and 210 providers have fully implemented and demonstrated Stage 1 meaningful use.

CalHIPSO was launched in February 2010 as a non-profit joint venture between California Primary Care Association, the California Medical Association and the California Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems.
