Dr. Robert Watkins Performs Spine Surgery on San Francisco 49ers Center Eric Heitmann

Robert Watkins, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon in Los Angeles, recently performed a cervical spine procedure on San Francisco 49ers center Eric Heitmann, according to a team news report.
Dr. Watkins repaired a ruptured disc in Mr. Heitmann's spine, and he is currently rehabilitating in Texas. It may take six months for Mr. Heitmann to return to play after the injury.
