Alexander Lenard MD, of St. Thomas-based Comprehensive Orthopaedic Global performed the Virgin Islands' first outpatient spine procedure.
Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. Leonard treats patients in Comprehensive Orthopaedic Global's St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix clinics.
2. Patients come from the U.S. and from all over the Caribbean to be treated by Dr. Leonard in the Virgin Islands.
3. Dr. Lenard also practices at North Palm Beach, Fla.-based Orthopaedic Care Specialists and is director of spine trauma and spine surgery at West Palm Beach, Fla.-based St. Mary's Medical Center.
