2. Dr. Giovanini is on the frontline of MIS development, serving as a consultant for spine device companies and teaching MIS techniques to surgeons globally.
3. Since 2005, Dr. Giovanini has performed hundreds of outpatient MIS spine procedures.
4. He completed his residency at Gainesville-based University of Florida Shands Hospital.
5. During his residency, Dr. Giovanini created research models for spinal cord injury. This research led to the first human spinal cord transplant.
