Waheed Akbar, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, has joined the medical staff at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw, according to a Midland Daily News report.
Dr. Akbar will bring with him more than 25 years of orthopedics experience, including new therapeutic techniques and minimally invasive procedures. He graduated from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed additional training at Booth Memorial Medical Center in Flushing, N.Y., and Jewish Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Dr. Akbar also completed a fellowship in orthopedics at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.
