Mazor Robotics, a spine device company focused on surgical robotics, recently singed a purchase agreement with NSH Michigan for its Renaissance system, according to a Mazor news release.
The system will be installed at NSH Michigan's affiliate, the Lakes Surgery Center, in West Bloomfield, Mich. The company has sold several systems to United States hospitals, but this transaction marks Mazor's entry into the surgery center market.

CEO of the surgery center Jennifer Butterfield said the center decided to purchase the robotic system because it will "differentiate our facility by enabling us to raise the level of patient care for spinal endoscopy as well as for other spinal procedures."
