FlexFix Receives Two Patents for Fracture Fixation

Logan, Utah-based FlexFix recently received two new patents in the orthopedic fracture fixation space.
The patents cover various aspects of the company's polymer-based intramedullary implant for fracture fixation. The implant is designed to transition from its natural rigid state to a flexible state for insertion. It returns to its rigid state for fixation. The patents also covers the deforming instruments used to change the shape of the implant, methods of implantation and guide wire arrangements.
