The patent protects VerteLoc Spinal Stabilization System's technology for spinal facet fusions. The system's surgical instruments prepare the facet joint's articular surfaces for insertion of the dual geometric implant, comprised of human allograft.
The implant is rectangular and designed to limit motion in flexion/extension. Dual vertical stabilizers rest between the facet joint surfaces to limit motion in both torsion and lateral bending.
