Dr. Michael Jordan Performs New Cartilage Transplant Procedure

Michael R. Jordan, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with Middle Tennessee Medical Center and Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, now performs cartilage transplants.
Dr. Jordan performs the procedure by using cartilage from the patient's body or donor cartilage and transplanted into the area where cartilage has deteriorated. The average recovery is six to 12 months, according to the release.
