Researchers have partnered with the Greenville Hospital System for cadaveric specimens, which will be mounted on the Clemson knee simulator to determine the causes of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty failures and build improved implants around these shortcomings. Researchers will also use the experiment to improve UKA surgical techniques and patient selection criteria.
