Johnson & Johnson's acquisition of Synthes tops the list of the medical device industry's largest transaction, according to Mass Device analysis.
Johnson & Johnson acquires Synthes for a whopping $18.4 billion. The Federal Trade Commission approved the deal but required Johnson & Johnson to sell its wrist fractures unit to Biomet.
