Mazor Robotics has received clearance to market the Renaissance spine system in Canada. The Health Canada Medical Device License applies to both the Renaissance spine and brain applications. The license will help Mazor expand its North American footprint in 2013.
Based in Israel, Mazor Robotics is a manufacturer of minimally invasive, robotic spine systems. The Renaissance is one of the only robotic spine technologies available and can be used for scoliosis and complex spinal deformity cases.
