Sports Medicine Device Sales Increase Arthrocare's 4Q Revenue by 4.9%

Arthrocare's fourth quarter 2012 revenue jumped nearly 4.9 percent from the same period a year ago with total revenue of $96.9 million compared to $92.4 million in 2011. The company's year-end revenue of $368.5 million was up 3.8 percent from 2011's $354.9 million.

Total product sales helped boost the minimally invasive device company's bottom line, as sports medicine sales improved in the fourth quarter and from 2011. Fourth quarter sports medicine sales increased by 1.9 percent to $63.6 million.

Overall sales were up 3.7 percent for the year, from $338.3 million in 2011 to $350.7 million in 2012.
