DFINE, minimally invasive radiofrequency therapy company, has announced the results of two clinical studies of its STAR Tumor Ablation System, which demonstrated the system's ability to provide pain relief from vertebral tumors. Jack Jennings, MD, PhD, director of musculoskeletal and spine intervention at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, led the first study. Robert Ryu, MD, professor of radiology at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University in Chicago, led the second study.
The study results were presented at the Society of Interventional Radiology Annual Meeting.
