Raleigh, N.C.-based TranS1 completed its acquisition of Baxano, a medical device company that manufacturers the iO-Flex system for spinal decompression surgery. Baxano is also in the process of developing the iO-Tome precision facetectomy instrument.
TranS1 executives said the acquisition will help the company grow its minimally invasive spine procedure market presence.
