Smith & Nephew has acquired of EuroCiencia Colombia.
Here are five things to know about the acquisition:
1. ECC has been Smith & Nephew's sole distributor in Colombia since 2006.
2. ECC has a workforce of approximately 150 people.
3. The acquisition of ECC is in-line with Smith & Nephew's strategic priority to supplement its organic growth through acquisitions.

4. Smith & Nephew's emerging markets business delivered 17 percent revenue growth in 2014.
5. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
