Lexington, Ky.-based Intralink-Spine reported additional positive clinical results for its Réjuve System.

Here are five observations:

1. Tom Hedman, PhD, invented the Réjuve System when he served as an associate professor at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

2. The Réjuve System is intended to offer immediate mechanical support and stabilization to the spinal joint with molecular bonds.

3. Dr. Harwant Singh, of Pantai Medical Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, treated four chronic low back pain patients with the Réjuve System.

4. The procedure involved fluoroscopic image-guided injections of the Réjuve device into the patients' lumbar intervertebral discs.

5. At the one-month follow-up, all four patients reported:

• Visual Analog Scale pain score reduction of 92 percent
• Oswestry Disability Index disability reduction of 88 percent

"All four patients are already enjoying a better quality of life than prior to the Réjuve treatment. And, they didn't have to wait weeks or months, because the effects of Réjuve are almost immediate," said Lyle Hawkins, CEO, Intralink-Spine.
