Medtronic landed No. 21 and Stryker claimed the No. 41 spot on the list of Bloomberg's "The 50 Largest Stashes of Cash Companies Keep Overseas."
Bloomberg calculated the 50 top overseas cash holders on the S&P 500 — which totaled $925 billion.
Medtronic reported $6 billion in cash held overseas, 43.8 percent of the company's total cash as reported in their latest filings. The company's cash overseas remains flat compared to last year. Other notable healthcare companies on the list include Johnson & Johnson with $41.3 billion in cash held overseas and Celene with $6.9 million.
Stryker ranked No. 41 on the list with $2.8 billion in cash held overseas, a 30.8 percent increase over the last filings. About 85 percent of Stryker's cash is held overseas.
