Spinal Tech

Two studies tested the Providence Medical Technology's DTRAX Expandable Cage system.

The system is CE-marked and intended for posterior cervical treatment at C3 to C7.

Here are five notes:

1. World Neurosurgery published a study comparing operative results using the DTRAX Expandable Cage system versus conservative care for single-level cervical radiculopathy.

2. This study involved 40 patients in each group, and reported superior results for VAS neck and arm pain for the DTRAX patients compared to the control group patients.

3. Researchers also found improved NDI and SF-36 for the DTRAX group.

4. Operative Neurosurgery published another study testing the DTRAX Spinal System and CAVUX Cervical Cages for anterior cervical pseudarthrosis treatment.

5. The study involved 25 patients. At 18-month follow up, patients saw VAS neck, VAS arm and NDI score improvements. Additionally, all patients achieved fusion.
