DePuy Orthopaedics has received FDA 510(k) clearance for the TRUMATCH Personalized Solutions for use with the company's SIGMA Fixed-Bearing Knee System, according to a DePuy news release.
The company has made TRUMATCH, a surgical instrumentation and computer software system designed to make knee implant positioning more precise, available immediately. The technology aims to reduce costs by decreasing OR time by an average of 35 minutes. The technology uses less instrumentation and eliminates nine surgical steps required in other total knee replacement techniques.
