The company will enroll up to 50 patients at the multi-center study who will be followed for 24 months postoperatively. The pedicle screw system includes standard and expandable pedicle screws and instrumentation necessary for the spinal surgery. The system is designed to provide greater fixation in various bone conditions and facilitate improved bone anchoring.
The system has received the CE mark and is available throughout Europe.

Israel-based medical device company Expanding Orthopedics has launched a post-market prospective study in Europe to assess the usability of its XPED Expanding Pedicle Screw System for spinal fusion, according to an Expanding Orthopedics news release.
