Zimmer has introduced a new anterior cervical plate system designed for increased visualization during implant placement, according to a Zimmer news release.

The inViZia Anterior Cervical Plate System includes a generous graft window and narrow waist to enhance visualization. The plate also includes a low profile, which may be able to reduce post-operative dysphagia.

The system is intended for use in the temporary stabilization of the anterior spine, surging the development of cervical spine fusions in patients with degenerative disc disease, trauma, tumors, deformity, pseudoarthrosis and failed spinal fusions.
