The Tennessee Orthopaedic Society has been recognized with the 2012 State Orthopaedic Society Achievement Award for its efforts in handling problems facing its membership, according to an
AAOS Now report.
Over the last two years, TOS successfully boosted its membership numbers and engagement; increased visibility on advocacy issues and improved enterprise-wide communications. TOS President P. Merrill White, MD, accepted the award on behalf of the organization at the National Orthopaedic Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.
