Rush University Medical Staff Names Orthopedic Oncologist Dr. Steven Gitelis President-Elect

Steven Gitelis, MD, an orthopedic oncology specialist with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago, has been named the 2011 president-elect of the Rush University Medical Center's staff, according to a practice news release.
Dr. Gitelis will serve a two-year term in this position, beginning on July 1, followed by two years as president of the group. As president-elect, Dr. Gitelis will serve as the chairman of Rush credentialing committee and the bylaws committee and a member of the executive committee.
As president, Dr. Gitelis will oversee all Rush University Medical Center physicians and physician extenders, as well as serve on the Rush Board of Trustees.
