Hospital for Special Surgery to Test pSivida Technology in Orthopedics

Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and drug delivery company pSivida have entered into an agreement to jointly investigate the application of pSivida's drug delivery technology in orthopedics, according to a pSivida news release.
The bioerodible sustained release implant technology was originally developed for ophthalmology, but the company believes it could have broader applications, such as for orthopedics.
