The University of Connecticut Medical Center has begun construction on a new facility to house its orthopedics and sports medicine specialists, according to a report from the Record Journal.
The physician group has outgrown its old offices and hopes the new building will be ready by fall of 2012. The building will most likely accommodate joint replacement surgeons, spine surgeons and extremities specialists. The move will also allow the practice to expand its sports medicine, rehabilitation and personal injury services.
