Two Orthopedic Surgeons Join North County Orthopaedic Group

Edward Choung, DO, and Anel Abreu, DO, recently joined the North Country Orthopaedic Group according to a report by the Watertown Daily Times.
Dr. Abreu earned his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry. He served almost five years in the Army as a medic at Fort Bragg, N.C., and Fort Campbell, Ky. Dr. Abreu is in the process of becoming board-certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Choung earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. He completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. Dr. Choung also completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan. 

The two surgeons replaced Arthur Peckham, MD, and David Eenenaam, MD, who both retired in the fall.
