If the medical center receives permission to construct the new orthopedic hospital, groundbreaking could begin in May 2012. The orthopedic hospital would cost around $19.2 million, which would include 24 private patient rooms. The hospital would be owned by Harrison and managed by orthopedic surgeons in Kitsap County, which have formed the Orthopaedic Alliance of the Peninsula.

Harrison Medical Center in Silverdale, Wash., is pushing forward with its plan to build an orthopedic hospital that would be complete by the fall of 2013, according to a Kitsap Sun news report.
