Laurence D. Higgins MD, is chief of the sports medicine and shoulder service at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and also serves as fellowship director of the Brigham and Women's/Massachusetts General Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship Program.
Dr. Higgins received his medical degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and his fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at The Center for Sports Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Before joining Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dr. Higgins was a team physician for Duke University, the University of Pittsburgh athletic teams and for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
