Matthew J. Matava is a professor of orthopedic surgery and physical therapy at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, as well as the chief of sports medicine service.
Dr. Matava's specializes in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, pediatric sports medicine and pediatric orthopedic surgery. In addition, Dr. Matava is a team physician for the St. Louis Rams and Washington University's athletic department.
Dr. Matava received his medical degree from the University Of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta. Dr. Matava also completed a sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery fellowship at Cincinnati Sports Med and Orthopedic Center.
