1. Hospital for Special Surgery will present David L. Helfet, MD, director of orthopedic trauma service, with the Lifetime Achievement Award at their annual tribute dinner.

 

2. James Andrews, MD, performed elbow surgery on Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Alex Cobb, according to KSPR ABC 33 report.

 

3. George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, GW Hospital and The GW Medical Faculty Associates appointed Raj Rao, MD, department of orthopedic surgery chair.

 

4. Brian S. Cohen, MD, of Adena Orthopedics, performed his reverse total shoulder arthroplasty procedure live via simulcast from Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.

 

5. Clifford B. Jones, MD, FACS, joined Phoenix-based The CORE Institute, with locations in both Arizona and Michigan.

 

6. Ozarks Community Hospital of Gravette (Ark.) added Edwin Roeder, MD, to its physician team.
