Jennifer van Warmerdam, MD, is an adult reconstructive orthopedic surgeon with San Francisco Orthopaedic Surgeons, specializing in knee, hip and shoulder replacements. She is also medical director of St. Mary's Joint Center, also in San Francisco, as well as a faculty member of the SF Orthopaedic Residency Program at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Dr. van Warmerdam's recent research had included topics such as cup positioning after total hip arthroplasty, Achilles allograft reconstruction for recurrent dislocation in total hip replacement and z-capsulloraphy to prevent dislocation in primary total hip replacement.
After receiving her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Dr. Van Warmerdam completed an orthopedic residency at St. Mary's Medical Center in San Francisco. She also completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction from Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General in Boston.
