Jay M. Marumoto, MD, is the chief of the department of orthopedic surgery at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu. He specializes in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine and advanced arthroscopic surgery.
Dr. Marumoto has published medical research and lectured on advanced reconstructive surgery of the knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow and various other sports injuries. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Association of North America.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu in 1990. He went on to complete a residency at University Hawaii in 1995. Dr. Marumoto completed a fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Bakersfield.
