Two orthopedic surgeons joined Seacoast Health in Swansea, Mass., according to a Sippican Week report.
Joseph Lifrak, MD, and Christopher Chihlas, MD, joined the group. Here are three things to know about Dr. Lifrak:
1. He is the team orthopedic surgeon for the National Champion Providence Friars Men's Ice Hockey Team. His clinical interest includes sports medicine and knee reconstruction.
2. He earned his medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine in Providence and completed his residency at Brown. His additional training includes an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital and a knee reconstruction/sports medicine fellowship at Jewett Orthopedic Clinic in Florida.
3. Dr. Lifrak is a former president Rhode Island Orthopedic Society.
Here are three things to know about Dr. Chihlas:
1. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Foot and Ankle Society and American Medical Association.
2. He earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia School of Medicine of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond and completed his residency with special training in foot and ankle surgery at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals.
3. He is also an adjunct clinical assistant professor at Boston University School of Medicine.
