Michael Higgins, MD, opened an orthopedic clinic in Dade City, Fla., according to The Laker.
Here are five things to know:
1. Dr. Higgins is working to expand orthopedic services in the Dade City community., He currently sees patients and performs procedures in Dade City two to three times each week.
2. The clinic has seven staff members including medical assistants, an X-ray technician and a practice manager.
3. In addition to his Dade City clinic, Dr. Higgins operates another clinic in Spring Hill, Fla. He has been practicing in Spring Hill for the last 11 years.
4. Dr. Higgins approaches medicine more conservatively and believes patients can receive superior care locally.
5. Additionally, Dr. Higgins is an independent physician who is not affiliated with any medical group.
