Janet Sybil Biermann, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon practicing at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Biermann also serves as a professor of orthopedic surgery at the university. Her research focuses on the treatment and diagnosis of soft tissue sarcoma and bone sarcomas, bone metastatic disease and use of computers for medical information.
Dr. Biermann attended medical school at Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine. After obtaining her medical degree, Dr. Biermann completed her orthopedic surgery residency at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic In Iowa City and went on to finish her orthopedic surgery fellowship at the University of Chicago.
