Dr. Ran Schwarzkopf receives AAHKS award: 5 key notes

Ran Schwarzkopf, MD, MSc, received the 2015 American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons' Lawrence D. Dorr Surgical Techniques & Technologies Award, according to an AAOS Now report.

Here are five key notes on Dr. Schwarzkopf:

 

1. He is an orthopedic surgeon wit ha special interest in total joint replacement surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, NYU Langone Medical Center.

 

2. Dr. Schwarzkopf is an assistant professor in the division of adult reconstruction and orthopedic surgery.

 

3. He was previously an assistant professor in joint replacement at the University of California, Irvine, in Orange County.

 

4. He completed his medical degree at Ben-Gurion University Medical School and completed a residency at NYU School of Medicine — Hospital for Joint Diseases. He was an orthopedic surgery fellow at Harvard Medical School.

 

5. He also spends time researching and received the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation Young Investigator Grant in Total Joint Arthroplasty in 2012.
