Mark K. Bowen, MD, practices at Chicago-based Northwestern Orthopaedic Institute, where he specializes in sports-related and traumatic injuries to the knee and shoulder. His areas of special interest include arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction as well as the treatment of meniscal years, rotator cuff injuries and Achilles tendon repair.
Board-certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Bowen serves as the team physician for the Chicago Bears. Previously, he served as team physician for the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs, New York Giants and the Big Ten Conference.
Dr. Bowen obtained his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York. He went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency and sports medicine fellowship at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
