Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Amy Ladd of Stanford University

Amy Ladd, MD, serves as a professor of orthopedic surgery at Stanford (Calif.) University. Her clinical interests include hand surgery, upper extremity surgery, orthopedic surgery and pediatric hand problems. Prior to joining Stanford University, Dr. Ladd was a fellow at L'Institut de la Main in Paris, France.

Dr. Ladd was the president of the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society from 2013 to 2014. She currently is the vice chair of academic affairs in the department of orthopedic surgery at Stanford University.

 

She earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University. Following medical school, she completed her residency at University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Ladd underwent her fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital Harvard Medical School in Boston.
