Richard H. Rothman, MD, PhD, is the founder of Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, one of the nation's largest academic orthopedic department. He also serves as a professor of orthopedic surgery at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, also in Philadelphia.
Dr. Rothman is currently a trustee of Thomas Jefferson University. He is a senior advisor to the Riverside Company. Dr. Rothman has published more than 250 peer-reviewed papers and 14 textbooks in addition to creating the Accolade total hip system.
Dr. Rothman is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Arthroplasty.
He earned his medical degree from University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
