Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Bruce Wintman of The Hand Center of Western Massachusetts

Bruce I. Wintman, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon currently practicing at the Hand Center of Western Massachusetts.

Dr. Wintman earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed a residency at the Harvard Combined Program, working at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Boston. Dr. Wintman also completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

 

He is currently on the full time staff at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, Massachusetts Medical Society, Hamden District Medical Society, Massachusetts Orthopedic Association and New England Hand Society.

 

Dr. Wintman’s clinical interests include carpal tunnel syndrome, endoscopic carpal tunnel release, workers compensation injuries, arthritis, tendon problems, needle aponeurotomy for Dupuytren’s Disease, distal biceps tendon repair, shoulder arthroscopy, congenital hand abnormalities, reconstruction and hand/wrist trauma.
