Scott Mubarak, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with Rady Children's Specialists of San Diego.
Dr. Mubarak earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison and completed his residency at the University of California, San Diego. He also completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Mubarak treats infant hip dislocations, foot deformities and tarsal coalition, clubfoot, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, traumatic injuries and compartment syndromes. He has authored about 150 peer-reviewed journal articles, 400 book chapters and the textbook, "Compartment Syndromes and Volkmann's Contracture." He has described or co-authored articles on more than 25 procedures used in pediatric orthopedics.
Dr. Mubarak is a former president of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America.
