Stephen J. Lombardo, MD, is a sports medicine-focused orthopedic surgeon at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. He is a former president of the NBA Team Physician Society and NHL Team Physician Society. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the International Arthroscopy Association and California Medical Association.
Dr. Lombardo has a professional interest in knee disorders, rotator cuff surgeries, shoulder dislocations, meniscus repairs, ACL injuries, PCL injuries, cortisone injections and elbow disorders. He is team physician to the Los Angeles Lakers. He has authored more than 50 publications and presented more than 100 lectures.
Dr. Lombardo earned his medical degree at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic.
