Benjamin C. Bengs, MD, is an associate professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at University of California Los Angeles Health. He is a full-time faculty member of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and sees patients at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles and UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, Calif.
Dr. Bengs' focuses on arthritis, avascular necrosis, total knee replacement, complex trauma, fracture, hip resurfacing and revision as well as osteoarthritis and osteonecrosis. His work has been published in prestigious journals, such as The Journal of Arthroplasty and Orthopedics. He has won numerous awards over the course of his career, including Orthopedic Research & Education Foundation's Career Development Award in total joint and trauma surgery.
Dr. Bengs earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He also completed fellowship training in orthopedics at UCLA School of Medicine.
