Arthroscopy Association of North America names Dr. John Richmond president — 4 highlights

John C. Richmond, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and medical director for network development at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, has been named president of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Here are four highlights:

 

1. Dr. Richmond has previously served as chairman of orthopedics at New England Baptist Hospital as well as vice chairman of the department of orthopedics and director of the sports medicine clinic at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

 

2. Dr. Richmond is a past president of the Eastern Orthopedic Association and was head team physician for the Tufts University Athletic Department.

 

3. Dr. Richmond earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and completed residencies at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia and Tufts Medical Center.

 

4. AANA is made up of over 3,600 physicians worldwide.
