David S. Levine, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, has added cycling to his daily routine, according to the Darien Daily Voice.
Here are five insights:
1. Along with fellow HSS surgeons, Dr. Levine begins his cycling routine at 6:00 a.m. in Central Park and ends back at the hospital by 8:00 a.m.
2. The surgeons finish their cycling season with a group trip to France, where they visit some of the areas used in the Tour d'France.
3. Dr. Levine specializes in treating fractures, dislocations and other traumatic injuries to the foot and ankle.
4. Dr. Levine is the recipient of the Jean C. McDaniel Award from the Hospital for Special Surgery and the T. Campbell Thompson Award for 'Excellence in Orthopedics' from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City.
5. Dr. Levine earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City and completed his residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He completed his foot and ankle orthopedic trauma and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Harborview Medical Center/University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
