Brian J. Bear, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon focusing on treating shoulder, hand, wrist and elbow conditions. He practices at OrthoIllinois, based in Rockford. He is an associate clinical professor at University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford and an assistant clinical professor at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Bear has expertise in microvascular, traumatic and reconstructive surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Mid-America Orthopaedic Association and American College of Physician Executives. He serves on the review board of Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery.
