Retired orthopedic surgeon Robert Dennis, MD, published "The Informed Health Plan Act of 2017: A New Healthcare Delivery System for America," an alternative proposal to the Affordable Care Act, according to MedCity News.

1. Dr. Dennis predicts his plan would save $1 trillion within three years if adopted.
2. If a person orders a copy of the book from Informedhealthplan.com, Dr. Dennis will send another copy to the purchaser's legislator.
3. Dr. Dennis previously served as director of the orthopedic surgery department at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City, N.J.
4. Dr. Dennis earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed residencies at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia and Montefiore Medical Center in Chicago.
