Justin Tunis, MD, is joining Geisinger Community Medical in Scranton, Pa., according to the Times-Tribune.
Here are five notes:
1. A primary care sports medicine specialist, Dr. Tunis treats patients with nonsurgical, sports-related injuries.
2. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American Academy of Sports Medicine and American Academy of Family Physicians.
3. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Tunis earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.
4. He completed his family medicine residency at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township.
5. Dr. Tunis underwent a primary care sports medicine fellowship at GWV and Geisinger Medical Center, headquartered in Danville, Pa.
